this is an appeal for donations of books for children (about 4-12 years old, preferably). English books, please. comics or enid blyton would be good. my friends and i are going to a school (Buseko Basic School) in Lusaka, Zambia this hols, and we will be building a library there. we need all the help we can get in collecting books for the children so please please please gather your old books and donate! we'll be leaving on 6 june so do contact me asap if you've got any books to pass? your help would be greatly appreciated! if anything, call or message me at 9787 8269. thanks lots!

I would love to help, but my mom salvation armied most of any evidence of my childhood. But I’m sure have a few chick lit, Shakespeare, grisham, and sec school lit text that I’m sick of.

But I have got truck load of vogue and such! When I was a broke student, spending money on vogue fed me more! Besides I think the kids need to see clothes that could feed an entire village looked like. It gives them something to aspire to. I can throw in my first edition devil wears prada book too! I think fashion is food for the soul, and the free perfume samples in between the pages are still pretty smellable.

Its about time someone brought high fashion to third world children! it’ll give them a better sense of direction. Besides December issues are 3 times thicker they can make paper marche or burn it for fuel.

After reading the devil wears prada they can better relate to the dire situation that people are suffering in the fashion industry, and the queen, ANNA WINTOUR! And for all you know they will have a new god they can all worship! Oh wait… everything might just backfire and they might think AW is THE devil and start forming voodoo allegiance against the queen!

Anyhoo, have you gotten your 536 vaccinations yet? I think I might have tub loads of sanitizers lying around the house. Ooooh, since you’ll be in Africa and all, do you think you can get cheap elephant tusks for me? I’m thinking of staring my own controversial line of accessories. I need those bright coloured beads too! The ones little virgins wear around their titties! I want it in different shocking colours and sizes too!
