ME:
"you just compared your relationship to a sinking ship...
and you're staying on board to see whether it can be salvage...
just waiting to jump off...
you'll still get sucked in from the pressure anyway..."
FRIEND:
"i just need to see whether it can be salvaged...
i'm boarding the plane in less than 12 hours...
ive already given him a dateline to decide whether we'll be sinking or floating...
so i'll know whether to hug or kiss him when i arrive..."
ME:
"have you considered just jumping off the plane then?
i heard it's less painful then falling in love?"
some people want long lasting romance...
romance that stands the test of time...
romance that creates epic novels spanning across centuries...
what happens to those that takes your breath away even if it just for that second...
if god has given an amount or quota for who you can give your love to...
i think i have used up almost all...
i'm on a credit now...
short sweet breathlessness is all i can afford...
life is not made up of novels...
sometimes life is a series of short chapters...
little things makes life more bearable...
little things remind us that we are learning and that we grow...
so how then do you get out of a relationship that may or may not sink?
even if the safety float inflates, how can you be sure no one's going to get hurt?
you know it's sinking when no one wants to take that first leap...
because sometimes, we need to sink to feel alive...
i wish i can say the right things...
or help you make up your mind...
but truth is...
aren't we all on sinking ships?
my credit's running high...
i'm broke...
or on the way to being broken...
i need to believe god's gonna write it off soon...
